About Us

Clare Park Farm > About Us

Our History

Graham Lane Porter acquired Clare Park Farm in 1921 having previously farmed in Gloucestershire.  Three generations on from the original G L Porter and the farm is still growing with each generation expanding and adding new enterprises to the farm. The farm is now managed by Antony Porter and his son, Giles Porter, who have taken on additional land, both on tenancies, contract farming arrangements and ad-hoc contracting bases. The farm has changed a lot over the years but has stayed true to its core values and policies. We remained a major figure among the local community and the village of Crondall participating in numerous local events and hosting the annual village Bonfire Night.

Awards.

We believe strongly in keeping farming traditions alive and are regular participants in the annual Binstead Growmore competitions. Over the years we have won many awards but the pinnacle for us was winning the Hampshire Farmers Club Prize for the “Best Mid Sized Farmed Farm in Hampshire 2013” and the Binstead Growmore club cup for most points overall.
